Comfort Song

Do you guys have comfort songs or songs that you always go back and listen to? I have two songs that I always go back and listen to. Whenever I'm down, stress, tired, or whatever it is I will listen to these two songs. Whenever I listen to them it really made me happy, makes me energetic again. These two are my comfort song, no matter what happens I will always listen to them. Once I listen to them, I will forget what had made me sad, I will relax and feel so comfortable and felt like my troubles had gone away.

I guess you can also say it is also my two favorite TVB songs of all time. The first song I'm introducing is released back in 2004/2005. It's the subtheme to one of my favorite TVB drama of all times, Love Bond. The song is called "Words From the Heart" and I really like this song. This song is sung by Michael Tao, Kenix Kwok, Bernice Liu, and Moses Chan.

The second song I'm introducing was recent, 2013 I think it was? The song is sung by Joey Yung, the themesong to one of the best TVB drama, On Call 36 Hours - The Hippocratic Crush, "Serial Drama." It is one of the best songs I have heard and I love this song so much!

These two songs are definitely my comfort songs, songs that I will always go back to. The songs that makes me forget about my troubles, relaxes me, and doesn't feel stress anymore. I don't know why its are these two songs, but it is. What are your comfort songs?

"Serial Drama" vs. "Sequel" [The Hippocractic Crush]

What do you guys think of the two themesongs to "The Hippocratic Crush?" Which song did you guys like better? Well for me, I thought that both songs has its own touch. It has its own power and the feelings for both is different. I felt like we can't really compare the two songs together because it gives off a totally different aura.

If TVB has a "Best Theme songs" category, hands down I would say "Serial Drama" should and definitely will win the award. Other than the drama alone was a success, the themesong was another plus that added that extra hype onto the drama. The song has so much power and it fits the drama so well. And listening to the words carefully, it is talking about the two leads. Ugh, all I have to say is that, this song is amazing. It's always a song that I go back to. It has so much emotions and give off such amazing vibe.

"Sequel" on the other hand tells us more about the two lead. It's definitely dedicated to them, it tells us how the two lead will overcome their obstacles. This is another amazing song that should with "Best Themesong." It's another song that has so much power and gives off that vibe. It definitely has a totally different feel from the first, "Sequel" is more subtle and softer. While as "Serial Drama" is more out there.

Both of these songs are composed by Tang Chi Wai and both were sung by the Joey Yung the Canto Pop Queen. I'm so bless that it was Joey who sang both of these because I can't imagine anyone else other than her. She definitely able to bring out the power and emotions from both of these songs. It is definitely amazing and the skills and talents of Chi Wai did not go into waste. Chi Wai is definitely an amazing and talented composer and I can't imagine anyone else composing these songs. I am truly thankful for them!

2013 Favorite Theme Songs [2]

"On My Way" by Raymond Lam 

This is the second sub theme to Triumph in the Sky 2. I fell in love from the first time I heard this! The melody is beautiful, the song itself is beautiful. The lyrics match the series really well and I can't wait till the full version is out! This is only the shorter version of the song. 

"Lovers in the Sky" by Mag Lam 

The sub theme to Triumph in the Sky 2. I love love love this song! It fits the series so well and the song itself is just beautiful! A very good song and a very well done by Mag! 

"Transformation of a Butterfly" by Hubert Wu 

This is the sub theme to Karma Rider and I thought that the song is pretty good. I like it and heard that this was originally by Denise Ho. 

"Enclosure" by Edwin Siu 

I immediately fell in love when I first heard it! This song was beautiful and Edwin is such a great singer! 

 

"Little Grass" by Ruco Chan and Louise Lee

 

This is the theme to Reality Check and I really enjoyed the theme song. Ruco also sang a solo version and that is without the dialogue from Louise. I felt that the theme song really bought out a good meaning/message and fits the series perfectly.

"Final Blessing" - Bosco Wong

I'd fell in love the first time I heard this song. It was absolutely beautiful. I loved the chorus, lyrics, and the melody. No words for it, it is just pure beautiful. But I can't help to think that he is singing this song out to Myolie..LOL! (-sigh- hope one day they will get back together? Still have a chance?) He really sang this song with lots of feelings, I can feel it...haha. 

"A Change of Heart" - Niki Chow 

I don't know, but just something about this song that I really like about. The melody is actually pretty nice and smooth and kinda creepy..hahaha. But I really enjoyed it and I'm a fan of her songs! It's a pretty interesting song and it fits the serial nicely. 

Sergent Tabloid theme - Niki Chow and Michael Tse

I really like this song. The melody and everything is really nice and smooth. It fits nicely and of course it is sang by Niki Chow! Hahaha.. Niki also sang a solo of this song. 

"Little Something" - Mag Lam 

Love love love this song once it came out! It is beautiful and amazing! I actually find Mag has a really strong voice. Her voice its actually powerful and I am amaze! I know this song is softer, but I did listen to her other songs and it was powerful.

"Semi Mature Men" - Pal Shin, Roger Kwok, Johnson Lee, Raymond Cho

Hahaha.. this song is actually kinda nice! I like it and its enjoyable!

-Sita Chan's accident was so shocking! When I read the news I was like what? No? What? I was so shocked! I can't believe she's gone now! She is such an amazing singer, her voice is so powerful and beautiful. I guess you can say that I don't really know her face, but if you say her name, I would know. I guess I can't really picture out her face? But now I clearly know how she look! I had listen to her songs in the past that is how I know who she was. I was like Sita Chan.. Sita... her name is so familiar, and I go -Gasp- no way! her song is so good! I'll definitely miss listening to her sing and I am happy that all her new songs are being released! Nothing is going to a waste! Its so sad that she is gone from us, she could have such a great bright future ahead! She was so young and her singing career had just started! Her three new songs were so good and were there anymore new songs that her company had released? R.I.P Sita, you'll definitely be missed! My condolences goes out to her family. -

Life is too short! You wouldn't know whats going to happen next. Cherish everything and everyone around you! Don't regret anything and don't take anything for granted. Love and be Happy everyday, theres no point of being sad right? Love yourself and everyone around you!

Favorite Songs of the Month of March...

For the month of March, I've been only listening to two songs on repeat. And they are TVB themesongs. I don't know why, but when ever I feel stress, angry, or upset; I would reach for these two songs. When ever I listen to these two songs on repeat, it would instantly clear my mind and I would be alright until I crash again. Yes, I have a playlist on my phone that only have these two songs.

Serial Drama - (The Hippocratic Crush/On Call 36) Joey Yung

I don't know, but I just love these two songs so much. It always calm my mind and makes me happy when ever I listen to them.

Favorite Songs of the Month...

Hey hey, I am back with a Favorite Songs of the Month! At first, I was going to make it favorite TVB songs of the month then it was Canto, but I didn't want it to be so specific cause I want to add in other kinds as well. So I decided to go as 'favorite songs of the month.' This will be a new thing I'm starting, I will update my favorite songs each month. Hehehe.. we'll see how it goes..lol.

Since I'm a full time College/Uni student whom is studying Biology, I am very busy with school. Therefore, I don't even know how this will go, but I'll try to at least update it (it shouldn't be a problem right? lol.) I know I haven't been updating and I said I got lots to post, but I simply don't have the time. I'll try my very best to update! "Childishness Ends" by Raymond Lam

This is a subsong to High and Lows. I really like the song especially the chorus.  The melody is really soft and sweet. 

"Possibility to Love Encounter" by Edmund Leung

The one I found is the DJ version. The CD version is not out yet >< grrr. I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it! The melody is so sweet and warm. Lol. I love the chorus so much!!

"One Life One Heart" by Hubert Hu

This is the live version the CD version isn't out yet!   NVM I found the CD version!! LOL! I've been listening to this song way long before the series had came out. I think the song was released in the summer time? But anyways of course I fell in love right away ;] Amazing song!! 

"Dream Chaser" by Leo Ku

Hmm..I never thought that I would come to like this song. But apparently I do. LOL.

"Love Hug" by Joyce Cheng

I immediately fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. The song is so sweet. Joyce improved a lot and her voice match this song well. Oh and the sitcom is not bad either. Watch it if you have time ;] 

 "The Most Blissful Thing" by Linda Chung

This song is so sweet as well and it fit nicely into the series. Especially when this played in the background. To me I feel like crying when I hear this song. It's kinda sad lol. Linda had improved SO much with her singing.

Wars of In-Laws II Sub - Thankful of Meeting you

~This song is simply just very sweet. The harmony of their voices balanced so well and the lyrics is just so sweet. Every time when I hear this song, I smile. Why? Because this song brings back a lot of memories and images of Boscolie would pop in my head. Ever since the couple had reveal that they were dating, they were glowing and gleaming. I wish them the best and wonder if they would use this song on their wedding day?~

2012 Favorite Theme Songs

So far my favorite theme songs of 2012!!

"Serial Drama" by Joey Yung

This song is really powerful; Joey sang this song with so much power!! Usually, I would have to listen to the opening theme couples time for me to like it. But from the first episode, this song had already driven me into it!! I think that the lyrics fit really well for the series and fit for each scene. Also I think that the lyrics really fit perfectly for Yat Kin and Ji Yu. 

"Flawed Beauty" by Fala Chen

I enjoy the chorus part the best! 

"Young Ignorance" by Bowie Lam, Moses Chan & Kenny Wong

Really nice song!!

"A Tale of a Wounded City" by Linda Chung and Ron Ng

Actually it's nice when you hear it couple of times. 

"Dawn Blossoms Picked at Dusk" by Teresa Cheung

This is another very powerful song!!

2010 Fav themesongs...

So far I think 2010 TVB is doing well. Better than last year TVB 2009. I pretty much like most of the series in 2010 and the theme songs. Below I listed my Favorite 2010 theme songs. They are not particularly in any order.
